One Class Left

Their is just one class left for me, untill finals start next week! Ahh, I have alot of work to do between now and monday. Although I still have alot of work to do, and will be taking 3 summer classes this summer , I am still very relieved for the semester to be coming to an end.

Miss.Formely Scared

Okay, so I used to be formely scared that I was going to have a hard time landing an internship next spring, as well as a land thus after. However, ever since I was given the opportunity to do an informal internship this summer with the TigerLily Foundation, which is a foundation dedicated to young woman with breast cancer, I have felt so much more confident. I am very feel blessed that I have been given this opportunity. This opportunity will definetly boost my resume as well as help me land a formal internship next spring, and a job. Now, I know that I can do it, and will do it, and I am work to my full potential and be all that I can be!

Cherish Everyday

My Grandfather recently passed on, and ever since then I still can not grasp the idea that people just die. Sure, I knew people in my family that had passed on before, but no one that I was significantly close to like my Grandfather. It is just hard to imagine everyday that you cannot call someone and tell them how school was, or your good grade on a test. It was hard to imagine at first but now I know that unfortuately it is part of life, and their is nothing that you can do to change it. So all you can do is look to the future, cherish your memories, and try not to think about why it happens so much because their is nothing we can do to change that.

The Semester is Coming to an End

The semster is coming to an end, and with that means stress, and lots of work! Next week is the last week before exams, and I have a total of 3 projects/presentations due and a paper. So now it is time to do all work and have no play, there is no time for play.

I wish that Marymount allowed finals to be all in different weeks, I hate that they are always all in the same week it is stressful! However, one of my exams is a take home exam so that should ease the stress a little bit, hopefully. After next week, I have a take home exam due, 3 exams to take and a dance performance to complete for my modern dance class here at Marymount. All in all if I prep myself well enough, and space my study times out for each of the exams, I should be fine. Wish me luck!

Easter Break

Today, was very relaxing, because I did not have to wait up early and go to class or work. It was very warm which was nice, to be able to wear sandals and drive with the windows down. I tried to go put-putting today with my little sisters today but that did not work out because apparently the venue is not open until May. So instead I and my little sisters headed over to the mall. I was looking for some new spring dresses, however I did not have any luck finding one. So then afterwards we went to go and get some cold stone, which was very yummy! I got my favorite mint ice cream with Oreo cookies, so good.

Trip to Charlestown Races and Slots in West Virginia

Tuesday evening I and my boyfriend, Sasha decided it would be fun it we took a trip down to the slots in Charlestown, WV. We each decided that we weren’t putting in anymore than $23 each in, so that we wouldn’t blow our money. After that we sat down at the penny slots near where this woman just won seventy dollars. However, we did not have any luck ourselves. Next, we headed upstairs to the more computerized slots. I put in my ticket voucher in, and surprisingly I started to win at every turn, a few dollars. However, then I lost my luck and start losing so I switched machines, as did my boyfriend. Before we left we headed back to the penny slots downstairs to try our luck again, but nothing came out of it. All and all its fun to play but would be nice to win big!

Ebay...Ebay...Ebay

Lately, for some reason, I have really found myself addiction to Ebay. Ebay is a bidding site where anyone can sell there items. Sellers can sell anything from concert tickets and clothes to items like cars and vacation getaways.

At first, I mainly just used the site for myself to purchase a handbag on. Now, I use the site for everything, especially when buying gifts for others. I love it! Sure, many of the items are used, and yes their is question of authenticity when buying things such as designer items. However if you know your stuff, and use Paypal, then you will have know problems. Ebay has the best deals!

Spring Break is Over...Time to make Fall Class Schedule

Well, let's see over spring break, I didn't really do much but relax, shop and sleep which were all very nice. I really enjoyed the 70 degree weather, as well as wearing flip-flops, which are my favorite shoe of choice.

Junior year is winding down, and now it is time to complete my fall class schedule, which is becoming more stressful than I had anticipated. I just recently learned that I have to take certain classes like senior seminar after I first fulfill all of my communication credits, which is quite annoying. Anyways, it will all be done in exactly one year, thank goodness. Wish me luck!

Midterms,Spring Break and my New Job!

I have just finished up my last midterm tonight, yeah! Now, I am so happy spring break is next week!

Let's see, I will still be working at my new job next week, however I do not mind because I love my new job. Especially, compared to my old boring office job, this job is fun because I get to play, and read with little kids head start classes, it is very enjoyable. Sometimes, I do not even feel like I am working at all , it is that enjoyable!

Most of the layouts that I looked at associated with blogger.com are very plain. Masquerade Ball at the Westin

Saturday night was masquerade ball at the Westin Hotel in Ballston. Overall, the dance was very fun. When we arrived their were many free masks to choose from and take, then as when walked past the check in table their was a free portrait session set up. All of our pictures where printed within minutes. After taking a picture I and my boyfriend walked into the ballroom, and first I have to admit the dance floor was pretty dead. So we decided to go over to the chef's corner and grab a bite to eat, and it was very yummy! As we ate our food, more people started to pour into the ballroom, then the dance floor finally started to get crowded and very, very hot. I was very angry that they clearly had the heat going in the ballroom, especially with all of those people in their dancing!

First Test..AHH

Well, I just had my first test of the semester for American Government. I studied, and it was by far the shortest test I have ever taken only 50 questions, where most are normally 80 to 100 so that was a plus. Although I studied I did not like that all of the questions were not multiple choice and fill in blank but short answer as well. Hopefully, those short answer questions will not hurt me too bad.

Marymount not thinking of all their students

Tuesday's weather was horrible, however Marymount along with several other schools around the area continue to be on a schedule and not cancel classes for the day. As a result I myself had to miss two classes tuesday because Marymount did not take into consideration all of its communter students upon making a decision whether to close school or not. Luckily, wednesday Marymount was smart and delayed classes untill 11 am, so that I did not have to miss another important class as a result of their actions.

First Week of New Semester

Well, its the last day of the first week of the second semester of my junior year and it has not been as bad as I had anticipated as far as parking and difficulty of classes. Parking overall at my school is a mess, so I completely avoid the garage, get to school a half an hour before my class time to wait and sit in the front student parking lot to wait for a parking space to open up. Besides parking the only other hardship I have had this week was when I went to the english class I registered for english:middle ages. I do not recommend this class to anyone, it is very boring, and the teacher bisson expects you to know write off the break alot of background information on that period.
